Page settings

Create a page

Start a new page in the editor. LinkHub will not create its JSONC file or image folder until you choose Save.

The page's JSON or JSONC file will be removed. Its page-specific image folder will also be removed when it is empty; a folder containing images will be kept so files are not lost accidentally.

Choose the section name, its position on the page, and its color. The new section starts with one shortcut card that you can edit next.

The website blocked the local copy

The icon can appear in the preview, but this website does not allow browser JavaScript to copy its image file. LinkHub can ask Icon Horse for a browser-readable copy instead.

The result may be different. Icon services can return a cached, generic, outdated, or unexpected image instead of the icon shown in LinkHub.

For the exact image shown, choose Not Now, right-click the Suggested Website Icon, select Save image as, and optionally rename the file. Save it in the page image folder below, then choose or drop that saved file under Image Path. LinkHub will fill Image Path automatically with the portable relative value.

If you continue, only the hostname is sent to Icon Horse. The full page address and your LinkHub data are not sent.

Local editing setup

Allow LinkHub to save your content

Select the folder named user-content inside your LinkHub folder. Please choose that subfolder rather than the main LinkHub folder. LinkHub will use only its page-data and images subfolders plus local-settings.js. This is normal browser permission; Administrator mode is not required.

This protects the application files. LinkHub checks your selection first and requests write permission only after it confirms the folder is user-content, keeping write access away from index.html, css, js, and application-owned images.

On a new installation, LinkHub copies the shipped starter page data from page-data-default into the empty page-data folder automatically. This happens once; existing page data is never replaced.

Netlify settings

Deployment credentials are separate from page data and images. If you download netlify-deploy-settings.json, keep it private and save it locally where your LinkHub deployment workflow expects it.
